Senior SQL Developer (Tax Technology & Transformation) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Denver, CO.


Responsible for database management and data work to support the web-based platforms and reporting and analytical needs of Tax professionals. Apply expertise in SQL programming and SQL Server technologies, including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. Responsible for database design and architecture including schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers. Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications. Identify, explain, and reconcile risk in the team’s current database practices and procedures. Support the team in data sourcing, building, cleansing, validating and reporting. Work closely with clients and internal EY Teams in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and International Tax Services. Act as a liaison between Tax Technology & Transformation and Global IT to rapidly deploy new technology solutions to the EY Global Technology infrastructure. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.


Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.

Must have 4 years of experience designing and developing databases and data warehouses using SQL Server.

Must have 4 years of experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS.

Must have 4 years of experience with Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Master Data Services.

Must have 4 years of experience gathering business requirements by analyzing source systems and reporting.

Must have 4 years of experience providing analytical support to ensure the appropriate design, implementation, testing and documentation of solutions using emerging technologies.

Must have 4 years of experience monitoring, tuning, and analyzing databases and queries performance, and performing query-optimization techniques.

Must have 4 years of experience with data visualization tools including Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI and/or QlikView.

Must have 2 years of project management experience, including working with teams in a globally distributed environment.

Travel required up to 25%, to serve client needs.
