 Key responsibilities

·         Development of the Human Resources department.

·         Managing HR operations and providing overall direction and guidance to leadership teams, direct reports as well as to employees throughout the organisation.

·         Overseeing strategy execution and providing counselling and leadership on organisation structure and design issues aligned to the functional strategy.

·         Supporting and implementing processes for performance and talent management.

·         Organization development;

·         Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns;

·         Employee orientation, development, and training;

·         Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.

·         Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

·         Defines all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority / responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.

·         Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.

·         Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.

·         Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.

·         Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws

·         Participate in the operational HR business plan; execution whilst ensuring strategic alignment, integration and to guide management on all HR related matters

·         Coordinates talent acquisition through the EY processes

·         Manage key HR interventions such as annual planning and competency assessment processes as required by EMEIA

·         Coordinate and manage the current performance management, reward , PIP, IR processes

·         Working with wider People team to ensure consistency of approach across all groups, and across the firm

·         Act as a true change agent within the business - be prepared to deliver significant and potentially contentious change whilst retaining good relationships

·         Deliver a cultural and operational shift within the group, leading to greater self-sufficiency in terms of use of HR Shared Service Centre, and managers and partners taking greater responsibility for management of people issues

·         Partner with the business to understand strategic direction and assist in developing appropriate people management strategy

·         Management reporting


·         Minimum 5 years HR working experience at senior management level. 

·         Experience in the Accounting and Auditing environment in the Big Four will be advantageous.

Minimum qualifications:

·         Human Resources Management / relevant degree/national diploma

·         Good Excel and power point skills

·         Good Knowledge of MSOffice and Lotus Notes would be an advantage
