Your key responsibilities

This role is focused on high-impact, high-value activities in all aspects of account management, including:

1. Client Relationships

  • Helps global account team identify key client stakeholders; develop and track client relationship strategy 

  • Builds deep knowledge of the clients in the portfolio, their strategies and business issues

  • Identifies opportunities to engage with target clients, manages account campaign calendar

  • Develops and manage central client communications globally (e.g., client newsletters, value scorecard, event invites, etc.)

  • Owns and manages select client relationships, as identified by CP (e.g. Procurement, legal, alumni, etc.)

2. Go-to-Market Activation

  • Actively promotes the activation of solutions, and services across the account through ideation of opportunities and teaming with account team members on demand generation activities

  • Plans and monitors client feedback program and win/loss reviews to generate key client insights, as appropriate assists with client feedback interviews

  • Promotes pursuit excellence by teaming with our pursuits team on deals, project managing small to medium complex opportunities, and coaching team members as needed across WIN strategy development, power maps, orals coaching, and relationship management activities

  • Serves as a master connector for account team, curating the EY ecosystem to help drive account strategy and activation:

  • Determines, drives and ensures distribution of thought leadership, global growth platforms, and alumni initiatives across account portfolio

  • Executes campaigns and events originating from solutions, service lines, and external organization

  • Acts as interface with global sector for account industry needs (Subject Matter Resource, Solutions, Networks)

  • Drives integrated service line planning and activity across account

  • Acts as subject matter expert and coach to team on Firm’s sales/account management tools and processes (ex: immersive selling, Wave Space, ART, etc.)

3. Account Operations

  • Ownership on book of business and ensures frequent communication to CPs and CEs on forecast and gaps within plan

  • Monitors account team sales pipeline, responsible for team updates and pipeline hygiene

  • Develops ideation of opportunities and relationships to pursue by leading/co-leading the account planning processes and meetings

  • Ensures EY’s Global BD metrics and tools are utilized within the account to improve the relationship index scores

  • Tracks and monitor usage of budget for new business development spend

  • Brings valuable insight to the account team by doing market scans on news/media, publications, investor/earning presentations, and other internal outlet

  • Leverages Account Coordinators based offshore to support account operations and account administrative activity; prime contact overseeing quality of offshore services provided to the account

  • Prime owner of account client relationship management (CRM) for key client targets

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships 

  • Demonstrated success in large matrix organizations

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to review reports, interpret data and identify trends; a healthy sense of curiosity

  • Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and manage projects

  • Ability to work independently and with a team, collaborate effectively with other functional groups within EY, and rely on strong influencing skills to achieve results

  • A strong executive presence; energetic and engaging style

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's degree is required 

  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience, including previous experience with complex account management and/or business development. Project management experience is desirable.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Professional services knowledge is an asset 

  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
