Responsibilities
  • Assignments in either Non-Life or Life (Re)insurance.
  • You will participate in traditional activities like reserving, financial reporting (e.g. IFRS 17) or audit support activities
  • Analyze regulatory, accounting and reporting requirements applicable to our clients
  • Using or reviewing mathematical modelling techniques and statistical concepts to determine probability and assess risks, such as analysing insurance liabilities
  • Preparing presentations, reports, valuations
  • Responsible for producing high quality work, inputting to and delivering effective presentations and draft reports in a timely manner
  • Carrying out relationship management, liaising with clients and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for own deliverables as well as coaching and managing staff
  • Applying detailed knowledge in Solvency II reporting
  • Production of the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment report
  • Valuation of liabilities under IFRS/Solvency II
  • Supervising and supporting project work completed by junior professionals
  • Look to develop the EY network through working on multi-disciplinary projects across different service lines

Skills
  • Strong teamwork ethic with a flexible working style and who enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with the ability to write clear reports
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to clients

  • Ability to take responsibility
  • Excellent people, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Self-discipline, determination and keeping abreast with recent developments
  • Sound judgement and a genuine interest in business
  • Deep understanding of Solvency II regulations
  • High level of computer literacy including understanding spreadsheets
  • Ability to take complex and ambiguous problems and quickly generate practical solutions, communicating with and managing expectations of stakeholders
  • Willing to develop yourself on an ongoing basis
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified actuary
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in life or non-life (re)insurance
  • Experience in Solvency II
  • Managerial experience including leading teams and projects
  • Fluent in English
