The opportunity

Building on the success the EY organization have had in growing the Asia- Pacific Advisory businesses/services over the last few years and in pursuit of the Vision 2020 objectives, EY member firms wish to hire a SM/Director to lead their FSO Cyber Security consulting practices in Hong Kong. The role will require deep experience in the specific market spaces combined with a leading view point and understanding of where the industry is going. To source the required talent EY member firms will need to leverage international rather than just local markets.

Your key responsibilities

  • Strong and deep Cyber Security heritage to be able to win and facilitate projects across both advisory and importantly more into implementation than previous capability. Ideally with CISSP certification.
  • Adept at developing successful stakeholder relationships with the cultural awareness required to succeed within an international collaborative environment.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience, with a focus on internal user access governance and customer facing IAM as a secondary sub competency
  • Business process engineering advisory relevant to application and systems controls
  • Role Based Access Control assurance or advisory
  • Security strategy and framework development advisory
  • Major Technology and Process transformation project governance and/or management e.g. implementation support of complex technology and process based IAM solutions
  • Threat and vulnerability management at the application, database and network layer
  • Cyber security risk management
  • Regulatory advisory as relevant to information security regulatory guidelines or mandates
  • Deep subject matter experience within their domain in the industry and a track record of being able to manage and maintain relevant provision of programs through skilled program leadership, technical knowledge and credible long-term, board level relationships with clients.
  • Strong service management and experience in large scale end to end solution implementations leveraging industry delivery methodologies such as SDLC, Agile
  • Strong consulting experience from top consulting firms is highly desirable.
  • Significantly contribute to EY value proposition in this space
  • Become a critical part of EY Cyber Security practices within Asia-Pacific.
  • Generate new service  development opportunities directly and also through the Global EY network.
  • Act as ‘experienced subject matter professional’ providing quality professional and technical advice.
  • Lead complex cyber security consulting programs with EY clients.
  • Build teams, lead and motivate highly qualified and able people.
  • Successful track record of relationship creation with senior client stakeholders including C-level, management and sales, with a demonstrable array of strong contacts within their sector specialism

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 12+ years of experience in management positions in a risk assurance / cyber security role, demonstrating progressively greater responsibility
  • Strong business development and project delivery background
  • A degree in information systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • A strong customer service orientation. An understanding of customer expectations gained through developing formal and informal relationships with customers
  •  High executive presence and business acumen
  • Strong people relationship and management skills with good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations of complex financial and business information to a diverse audience
  • Good understanding of the Asia-Pacific Cyber Security market and ability to bring knowledge of this to help facilitate the growth EY organization across the Area
  • Financial management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
