Job Summary


As a Program Manager, you will provide leadership in developing and executing the strategic development, planning and coordination of marketing initiatives that align with the firm’s strategy across the East Region for EY’s Tax Service Line. Manages multiple programs and events to create high-level relationship-building opportunities to enhance EY’s image with the leaders of today's top companies. 


Key Responsibilities:


 


I.                    Logistics Related to all East Region Tax events


    1. Select venue and work directly with 3rd parties to negotiate costs and complete contracts

    2. All event logistics including staffing needs, room set up, technology, catering, and hotel if applicable

    3. Coordinate activities (golf etc..), CPE, travel costs, client gifts, name tags etc.

    4. Attend the event as a “host”, greeting clients, acting as contact with venue and dealing with any issues that arise

       

      II.                  Pre-Event activity


    1. Create the invitations for the events

    2. Work with client serving teams on validation of client target lists

    3. Send invitations and monitor and track registration

    4. Send confirmation emails to all attendees

    5. Follow up as needed with BDE’s and account teams to ensure high attendance

    6. Work with the account teams on the meeting agenda and presentation materials for the event

    7. Coordinate the relationship mapping of EY attendee’s and clients

       

      III.                 Post-Event activity


    1. Review invoices and submit for payment

    2. Submit CPE forms and ensure all external clients receive their certificates

    3. Track actual costs vs. budgeted costs

    4. Connect with account teams to ensure proper client follow up occurs

    5. Track event ROI

       

      IV.                Other Activity throughout the year


    1. Create and submit the annual budget for approval

    2. Track actual cost vs. budgeted cost

    3. Recommend ways to reduce cost and/or reallocate funds to new programs to increase ROI

    4. Connect directly with clients on agenda topics

    5. Support the Tax BD Leader as needed throughout the year (pipeline entries, revenue planning, campaign tracking, ASQ’s etc.)


 


To qualify, candidates must have:


  • Ability to demonstrates a high level of understanding and application of principles and practices of program management with minimal supervision

  • Provide guidance to team members

  • Flexibility to travel frequently

  • Ability to seek input on decisions when appropriate and provide guidance to team members

  • Ability to coordinate multiple programs and/or events at one time.

  • Strong organizational skills are required to be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with C-level executives, business leaders and their teams

  • A minimum of 8-10 years marketing and program management or equivalent experience

  • Experience in professional services environment a plus

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
