Forensic Data & Analytics Manager

EY’s Forensic Discovery & Analytics team (FD&A) team forms part of the Forensic & Integrity Services business unit and specialises in technology services encompassing eDiscovery and Forensic Data Analytics. Using state of the art tools, our teams support clients with compliance management, fraud investigation and fraud detection.

The FD&A team practice the full life cycle of data analysis. Specialising in identifying, collecting and producing large volumes of electronically stored structured and unstructured information, the team applies advanced analytics techniques to separate the relevant data for use as evidence for litigations and financial investigations and to support large scale proactive compliance programs. Our projects primarily involve large-cap clients across retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking and insurance as well as Government and public sector, pharmaceutical, oil and gas and technology industries.

What you will do:

• As a manager, you will be responsible with your teams for multiple client engagements. You will build your career by managing projects, leading a team to produce high quality outputs, ensuring that deadlines are met and client requirements are satisfied
• Advising clients on a comprehensive range of issues during forensic and regulatory investigations in relation to financial crime, corruption, information theft and other offenses
• Planning and supervising engagement teams in carrying out both reactive and proactive data analysis of large volumes of unstructured and structured data
• Closely working with clients, fraud investigators, internal and external auditors, lawyers and regulatory authorities in sensitive and sometimes adversarial situations
• Establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external networks
• Support business development activities such as the pursuit of new commercial opportunities or developing materials for client presentations and pitches, etc.
• Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members
• Create a positive learning culture - you will develop junior team members through effective supervising, coaching, and mentoring


• Strong academic qualifications with a degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience
• Strong track record of working with SQL and additional scripting or other programming languages (e.g. Ruby, ECMA Script or Python)
• Expertise in collecting, processing and analysing large volumes of unstructured and structured data
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working with common eDiscovery and forensic software products (preferably NUIX or Relativity by kCura)
• Strong understanding of various operating systems, database technologies, IT environments, and networks
• Solution-oriented and proactive approach to the delivery and implementation of projects as well as the ability to build strong relationships with your teams and clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required – any additional language is considered as a plus.
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable and able to build strong relationships
