Required Skills and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Law/Human Rights Law/Public Administration/Social Sciences or other relevant field.
- At least 07 years of relevant professional experience practicing law in the high courts of Pakistan (preference shall be given to candidates with specific practice in the Sindh High Court) in research, analysis and training related to Human Rights and the criminal justice system in Pakistan
- At least 5 years of legal experience and a proven understanding of the criminal justice system in Pakistan
- At least 4 years of experience in the design of human rights training, including the development of manuals, toolkits, curricula and assessment tools
- Proven knowledge of the international human rights standards in the administration of justice as well as human rights protections in Pakistani law
- Appreciation of diplomatic and political sensitivities
- Proven report-writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in written and oral English language
- Excellent social and networking skills
- Fluency in both English and Urdu is required. Knowledge of a Pakistani regional language would be an asset
