The opportunity

Your key responsibilities
In your role as a Manager working within the Government and Public Sector Human Services Team you will:
  • Manage client engagements – to achieve exceptional client service
  • Deliver for clients as part of a team
  • Build relationships with clients to ensure we fully understand their needs
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on thought leadership and delivery
  • Be commercially minded and oversee the commercials of an engagement
  • Develop structured thinking and approaches to address clients’ needs - contributing to system wide or organisational specific reform across the Human Services field within Government and/or For Purpose sector
  • Keep up to date and share latest thinking on human services issues
To qualify for the role you must have
  • Demonstrated (at least 5 years) experience in leading a team or unit within the Human Services field [Child Protection, Family Services, Homelessness, or Disability Services] in a For Purpose organisation.
  • Led change in service design from policy to delivery and outcomes based contracting
  • Built a strong understanding of leading practice in human services and be credible in discussions with professional within the sector
  • A strong understanding of the future of the For purpose sector, its current challenges and how it is transforming
  • A strong passion and commitment in making a difference and leaving a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable people.
  • Demonstrated empathy, emotional intelligence and a strong understanding of different cultural and social perspectives. 
  • Excellent project management / risk management skills and structured thinking.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building experience.
  • Confidence and ability to interact with clients and senior team members.
  • Have the drive and desire to grow your career to the next level.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Be willing to travel as required.
It would also be advantageous if you had experience in working within a consultancy environment
