Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Design, experiment and implement various AI and deep learning algorithms to create proof of concepts (PoCs) for AI-based solutions.

  • Work closely with scientists, engineering and domain experts to build AI-based capabilities.

  • Document the result of work in form of disclosures, patent applications and publications.

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Works independently and collaborates effectively as part of a team of AI scientists and software engineers.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:


The summer research intern should have a great understanding of machine learning and deep learning areas. The candidate is expected to have a strong programming skill, and experience in machine learning open source libraries. Familiarity and prior experience in one or more of the following technical areas is a plus:

  • Text Analytics and Natural Language Processing, Sequence Labeling
  • Deep learning, recurrent neural networks, convolutional neural networks

  • Machine Learning, Probabilistic and Statistical Learning Methods
  • Emerging topics in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, conversational bots, and knowledge representation and reasoning

  • Strong programming experience in one or more of Python, Java, C/C++, C#.


  • Recognized expertise in an artificial intelligence and machine learning applications as evidenced by relevant education and publications.

Other Requirements:


The location is based in Palo Alto, with no travel expectation.


Job Requirements:



  • Master or PhD students in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related fields (statistics, applied math, computational neuroscience)


  • No requirement.
