The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Consultant within the Mergers and Acquisitions team in our Melbourne office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct industry research to assist in business development activities
  • Play a key role in deal origination and preparation of relevant materials
  • Complete in-depth financial analysis and build financial models
  • Assist in the preparation of key marketing materials
  • Be an active member of project management team on transactions
  • Assume responsibility for certain components of engagements
  • Contribute to strong client relationships

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in transaction work, within corporate advisory, due diligence, valuations or financial modelling. Would also consider audit or corporate restructuring experience.
  • Degree qualified
  • Demonstrable proficiency in financial analysis and financial modelling
  • Strong business writing skills
  • CA, completed or in the process of completing your CA
  • Outstanding communication skills and an ability to grasp complex subjects quickly and distil them into clear, concise language  

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work autonomously with clients
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
