The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Government Incentives within the Tax team in our Brisbane office. This role is offered on a full-time basis.

Your key responsibilities
  • Drawing on your technical knowledge you will advise and support clients in accessing government grants and incentives to support their R&D and innovation processes
  • You will engage with technology-active companies to understand their development objectives and drivers, analysing complex project information to assess eligibility for government support.
  • Prepare detailed work papers and reports to help deliver exceptional results to EY’s clients
Skills and attributes for success
  • Genuine interest in innovation and technology
  • Experience with government incentives and interest/experience in writing technical reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as relationship building and ability to articulate complex information to clients across a broad range of industries
  • Ability to work with complex and detailed information, including problem solving and numerical skills
  • Interest in networking to build enduring trusted relationships with EY colleagues and clients
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Previous work experience, ideally working in industry or business client-facing context
  • Experience in leading a team of talented individuals
  • Experience in the delivery of various grant applications associated with a broad range of client types from SMEs through to large multi-nationals
  • Experience working with financial reports and data
  • An interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the role that technology innovation can play in creating a better working world
  • Drive to provide excellent service to clients and build a better working world
