Technology Risk – Senior Consultant

  • Technology Risk is part of the Advisory Services business within EY. It focuses on our Technology, Energy &Assets and Products & Services clients to assist them in understanding and appropriately responding to risks introduced by use of current and emerging technology.
  • We provide independent assurance on governance, IT risk & internal control to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise IT audits end to end as part of our financial audits
  • Manage expectations on deadlines and budgets with the Technology Risk Manager
  • Project management a small portfolio of IT audits
  • Training and coaching on the job
  • Engagement with client IT management as part of the fieldwork
  • Prepare initial drafts of the findings   

Essential Requirements

  • Must have a third level degree or higher
  • 3-5 years’ experience conducting IT audits as part of financial statement audits
  • Client-oriented, professional services mind-set
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,  with good attention to detail
  • Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies i.e. Oracle, Windows, Linux etc.


  • Knowledge of risk related frameworks and standards (e.g. COSO, COBIT, ITIL V3, ISO 27001, SOC2, Trust Principles)
  • Curiosity and continuous learning attitude
