2. Workforce Advisory Services

Responsibilities 

  • Conducting analysis & research, conducting client interviews & helping to develop proposals & recommendations

  • Conducting business analytics (e.g. business strategy analysis, HR operation analysis, financial analysis, marketing analysis, policy analysis, & development of integrated people strategies & talent programs)

1. Business Tax Services
Responsibilities

  • Manage & coordinate tax compliance work for clients

  • Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations & ensure outstanding client service

  • Team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services

  • Determine all information required to ensure/complete accurate tax compliance products

  • Assist clients to prevent & manage tax controversial issues

  • Assist clients to handle enquiries from the Inland Revenue Department (IRD)

  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication & updating senior team members on progress

  • Assist in preparing reports & schedules that will be provided to clients & other parties

Responsibilities

  • Tax function evaluation & optimization: evaluate or optimize tax operation structure by assessing current state, standardizing with leading practice, & providing optimization solution options.

  • Process & controls enhancement: re-design & deploy streamlined tax processes including new technology solutions with clear roles & responsibilities, standardized work processes, proper controls embedded to advice risks.

  • Technologies enablement: embed the needs of Tax into Finance & IT systems to increase automation & data quality throughout tax processes; automate tax processing, tax compliance & reporting through various tax technologies.

7. US Tax

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, with guidance, technically accurate reports & deliverables related to U.S. domestic & international federal income tax compliance services

  • Assist in file documentation & retention (file set-up, referencing, description of tax filing position taken, telephone conversation documentation, notes to reviewer)

  • Perform basic research using appropriate tools, including legislation, databases & publications with guidance

  • Delivering solutions across the life-cycle of public & private infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Undertake an advisory role to contingency planning, value preservation, exit solutions & resolution planning for financial institutions & large corporates

  • Reviewing company’s financial status, preparing pre-liquidation forecast & prognosis of cash flow requirements

  • Preparing comprehensive financial reviews of companies' operations for the intention of financial restructuring, securing investors, raising capital, disposing & recovering of assets

  • Attending to legal proceedings, adjudicating of creditors’ claims, investigating into antecedent transactions for regulatory compliance

  • Involved in day-to-day judicial management, receivership, agent for mortgagee-in possession, estate administration, voluntary & compulsory liquidation engagements


Requirements

  • 1-2-year prof. audit exp., preferably with previous corporate restructuring exposure

  • Ability to travel appro. 50% of the time

3. Valuation, Modeling & Economics

Responsibilities

  • Conduct equity research, industry research, management interviews & site visits; support managers by analyzing information obtained from various channels for use in the preparation of valuation reports

  • Review & analyze valuation reports issued by other firms in order to assist audit teams on the projects associated with fair value measurements

  • Appraise company or asset values using the income approach, market approach or asset-based approach for transaction, financial reporting or tax purposes

The Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team in Asia-Pacific has been providing market leading services to clients across EY Greater China, EY ASEAN & EY Oceania for over 20 years. We support EY clients in the region & globally throughout the broad transaction lifecycle & have helped EY clients create deal value & manage transaction risks.  Similar to all service lines in the EY organization, SaT operates with a financial services sector focused team & another broad industry team.

 

FSO SaT focus on serving clients in the banking, insurance, asset management & Fintech sectors, which are highly regulated segments bringing more sector specific training & exposures. We are hiring prof. Accountants to support our Asia-Pacific FSO SaT services. In this role you will have exposure to different sub-service lines in SaT, namely Transactions and Corporate Finance & EY Parthenon.

 

Transactions and Corporate Finance covers 3 sectors including Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling and Economics & Lead Advisory.

  • Transaction Diligence advises clients on buy-side & sell-side financial & operation due diligence. We work closely with Strategy and Transactions sub-service lines & competencies, & other EY service lines to provide seamless, integrated due diligence to EY clients.
  • Valuation, Modeling and Economics practices are the means by which we continue to bring our deep financial, economics & analytics skills to bear in order to support  EY clients with better decision-making involving transactions, funding capital expansion & providing capital efficiency (i.e. capital allocation to help adjust risk, cash release opportunity, capital budgeting with skill sets on measuring and valuating not just assets but also litigation or life).

  • Lead Advisory includes tactical & strategic advice for corporates, financial sponsors & family offices, as well as negotiation assistance & other transaction related topics.

    • Mergers & Acquisitions team provides sector-focused advice on the sale process from strategic positioning to close, & we help execute acquisitions, alliances & mergers as well as advise C-suite executives & boards on evaluating strategic alternatives in the context of transactions. 

EY Parthenon covers 3 sectors including Strategy, Transaction Strategy and Execution & Turnaround and Restructuring.
